This weekend we are honored to be visited by performance collective Silver Lake Ghosts. 👻 The ghosts will amble about, swaying and moaning in our faces. This performance piece is *commentary*, which we love. 🥰 (Please do not photograph the Ghosts as they are meant to be etherial beings that do not exist on our corporeal plane) 🚫📸

We are absolutely thrilled that Lilly Fairchild of Eth with be at the SLGF this weekend. 🤩 ⁣

Vanity Fair called Eth “the only choice in Modern Commune Attire,” and we could not agree more! ⁣

Fairchild and her husbands hand make each robe, tunic, and head mask at their Monte Nido live/work/love space in the Santa Monica Mountains. ⁣

This location brings a natural connection to the clothing, which, in Fairchild’s own words “makes you feel connected to each other in ways that cannot be broken by US federal law.” ⁣

Find Eth this weekend at the SLGF Fashion Dojo, but please don’t try and talk to any of Fairchild’s husbands (They know they’re not allowed to listen).

💧 This weekend, the SLGF Drinking Straw Booth will be selling and renting glass, metal, and paper SLGF-branded straws. 🚨SINGLE USE PLASTICS ARE BANNED 🚨 There will be roaming monitors from the SLGF Gaia Healing Committee to police single use plastics and immediately ejecting anyone from the fair using single use plastics. 💪 (No Refunds! 💸 Please read the terms of your admission closely.) 🎫
We look forward to all of us single handedly reversing climate change. 😌

😌 For those members of the SLGF with a dietary restriction (that’s all of us), consider yourself seen 🤗 Topanga’s Sunny Canyon Root Butters will be on sale this weekend. ☀️ “We’ve moved beyond nut butters and beyond seed butters, and now further beyond to buttering roots,” says Lead Product Manager Michael Glabicki, “Root butters have an astringent quality to them that really lets you know you’re getting the minerals.” Flavors include Alfalfa & Onion, Pine, Palm, and Mixed Roots. Find Sunny Canyon Root Butters at the SLGF Pantry this weekend! 🌲🌱🌞🌻

We are overcome that Garth Monroe of Venice’s Stiff Denim will be at the SLGF this weekend. Monroe says of the material for his jackets and pants: “It’s coarse, it absorbs all light, and it’s really stiff. It’s like wearing dry wall, and people love it.” Monroe’s recent Joshua Tree pop-up (during the government shutdown) was attended by both Jon Favreau’s and sold out fast, so make sure to come early this weekend (even though Monroe will show up whenever he wants, if at all).

We are so open-minded this weekend to include new community-retailer Unemployed Eastside Fathers, a collective of unemployed fathers from the local areas. 👱‍♂️ Says Co-Creator Jim Brucious: “We take our kids to school, then sit outside at a coffee shop in our very dark jeans and loose sweaters just hanging out. We speak loudly to compensate for the ever present subtext that we don’t have—and can’t get—jobs.”🗣 “The only item we could get our shit together to make is this trucker hat, and so we’re selling it for $45.” 🧢 “Most of us are building managers or landlords, but that isn’t full time, y’know?” 🤲 “And we are all kinda talking about shooting music videos for our friends from Austin or Nashville.” 🎸 Visit Unemployed Eastside Fathers this weekend in our New Retailers Corridor.

🌞 Inspiration ⚡️ can strike at any moment, so this weekend we will be featuring a Creation Chamber ($30/ten minutes) — a refuge from the world to allow you to jot down your spontaneous thoughts or record a podcast. The sound proof chamber features a mid century inspired sitting chair and writing desk. “One can Be struck by Inspiration At Any Moment And not Acting Upon the Ideation could be LETHAL,” says SLGF Co-Founder Marquis DeFlavonoid (Please be aware that all ideas thought up in the Creation Chamber become property of the SLGF and its holding company Blessed Harmonies Industries 🌈. Also, you may use the chamber for adult purposes but then we own your DNA.🗝)

Due to Health Department concerns, animals are “not” welcome at the SLGF this weekend. We repeat they are “not” welcome. 😉😉 Please, everyone, understand what we are trying to tell you: animals are “not” welcome. 😉😉 Giant pit bulls should “stay at home,” and please “absolutely” do “not” “bring” your exotic parrot that perches on your shoulder. 😉😉 Thank you. (Or just get your shelter poodle a psychology degree and then they’re a licensed therapist and can go anywhere).

FUCK YES

We are happy to announce the return of our friends to the SLGF from CRACK DRANK who have had a thorough revamp of their PR/Marketing following a rocky start…… 🔈 Founder Dylan Mark Thomas: “We have heard the criticism of us appropriating Black culture, and we totally hear and understand and comprehend and sympathize, but we see it more of a celebration of black culture. So we’re not going to change it.” CRACK DRANK is natural coffee alternative with a blend of teas and natural herbal remedies such as turmeric, tyger breath, and salt. “Yes, we completely understand the history of crack and cocaine, but we never meant it in a negative way, like crack’s negative affect on black communities. We just mean it’s positively, like it’s addictive. That’s positive. Good means positive. That’s something that our critics don’t seem to understand.” 😌🤲
